At its heart is a genuine original LM308 op-amp paired with vintage Soviet D9K germanium clipping diodes, delivering rich harmonic distortion, smooth sustain, and a slightly softer clipping character that responds beautifully to your playing dynamics. From gritty edge-of-breakup tones to thick saturated distortion, the Rooi Rot covers a huge range while retaining excellent note clarity.

Every pedal is hand-built using carefully hand-picked, high-quality components and finished in a unique rust-effect enclosure, giving each unit its own character. The custom 3D-printed knobs complete the industrial aesthetic, making every Rooi Rot as distinctive as it sounds.
